The distribution companies put a lot of time and effort in recruiting sales staff. The number one attraction that most companies direct use marketing is the ability to work from home. The vast majority of new recruits to sign a promise that you can be your own boss. Is this really true, and is direct sales, your paint?

Often cited promising and the promotion of statistics on people who make an income from the house habitable. Its sales brochures are almost always full of testimonials from employees who love their work-from-home. They seem to be able to run a business from a desktop computer at the same time to collect their children from school every day. They manage to get dinner on the table every night and make a great life too.
The problem with these statistics and testimonies is that they are "top-heavy." They represent only a small percentage of total number of direct sales people working for the company. Those at the top of the chain usually make a good life. However, often make more money from the sale of its recruits for their own personal sales.
The vast majority of direct sellers who want to work from home are quickly disappointed. They end up spending much more time outside the house trying to generate sales that do at home. After all, the key to sales in this type business is through home parties or demonstrations in the homes of others. Sales people have to spend several hours each week outside the home selling your product (s) / services. The bulk of personal selling are not telephone or Internet sales, but through Live, in person meetings. Direct marketing is little more than the equivalent modern door to door canvassing.
Sales people became disillusioned. They are unable to generate enough revenue to make it worthwhile. Nor are willing or able to spend more time outdoors. After all, they signed because they wanted to work from home.
The idea of wanting to be your own boss also tends to fade quickly from reality to fantasy. No direct marketing can really be your own boss, because there is always pressure from above. The Part top of the sales chain can not make money unless their recruits are making money. The result is that someone at the top is always pressure from below. Continuously ask them to do more than perhaps they ever wanted when it signed on.
Can you be your own boss in direct marketing? Yes Just look the testimony to see this. However, not always as straightforward as it appears in the recruitment brochures. Those who really want to be their own bosses must be prepared to spend time away from home. The bottom line is that direct marketing can not work a job you always dreamed of home.
