Door Sedan Automobile
In 1988, Volvo 240 series cars. Real compact sedan and wagon.?
This car has a simple disign. Full body on frame. 1 bag air. 4-door sedan. Rigid axle rear. 4 cylinder vertical line. 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual. Points, distributor cap, coil and the rotor. Now, the car has a carburetor? Do you have control emissions? It is a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine that has the fan attached to the crank harmonic balancer shaft through a cooling fan thermo / mechanical clutch. It is not really a truck. But he has a lot of effort of torque for a 4 banger. And the car is in the form of cash and extreamly safe. Please tell me now, why is the only car gets 15 mpg city and 22 mpg on the highway? 19mpg overall. That's pittifull! Is there any way to increase gas mileage? Can I install once crankshaft to increase compression? How about a turbocharger? What about CDI Ignition? How about the replacement / exchange of an automatic transmission of a manual, you can do? Enlarge intake? Larger exhaust? HOW???
This car has electronic fuel injection and electronic ignition. The 240 was and remains one of the Volvo, but best not to suffer from relatively poor gas mileage. The figures you quote seems unusually low, however. The automatic transmission can be a factor, but I'd recommend a complete song by someone who really knows these cars. Turbo? That does not help. Turning on CD? It has electronic ignition that is why I am puzzled by your "points" comment. In fact, it's a fairly heavy car to be powered by a four-cylinder engine. You could win a little with a system less restrictive exhaust, but the fact remains is that these cars are not only economic.
