Problems with brakes 2005 Dodge Dakota.
I had my brakes locking on my 2005 Dodge Dakota. I looked around, and seems to be happening to many people. They have to change everything on four wheels! I was trying to find if there is a recovery, but all I found was a Techincal Service Bulletin. This does not provide no information yet. The dealer says I'm not covered by the mileage is very high, and the shop says it will cost $ 2,300. Any help would be appreciated.
Wow, does this sound too common, if all four wheels lock I assume is a condition caused by a mechanical binding jammed mastercylinder or bonding. maybe the pushrod on the master is bound, or if maybe the ABS controller is storing pressure and hydraulic pressure is being applied to the brakes. The amount of that distributor that is abnormally high, it's really hard to believe that all the brake components is defective, however the driving the vehicle with binding brakes will make many of the pieces in the system fails. I would not get the dealer to repair the unit, but take it to a Trusted Store to look into it …. good luck
